National Floor Champion
Victoria Ivey has been competing gymnastics since she was four years old. Now, at age 13, Victoria has earned the title of Floor Exercise Champion at the Eastern National Championships, held in Charleston, West Virginia on April 30th, 2010.
Though it has not been easy, her coach and mother, Davita Ivey, has been beside her daughter every step of the way.
Victoria has won floor exercise at every competition she has competed in this year. To qualify to Nationals, she had to score in the top six at Regionals, which were held in Clemson, SC earlier this year.
She is now training 29-30 hours per week at level 10, preparing for the upcoming season and is hoping to earn a gymnastics scholarship. She is a member of the Charleston Twisters Gymnastics Team in Ladson.
